Bayon Liquors
Named after the infamous Cambodian temple, the logo to reflects the newly renovated interior of the store while representing the owners Cambodian heritage. I created two logos. A 'hip' logo that mirrors the stone carved faces on the temple, as well as a timeless, delicate logo of the Great Ibis, the national bird of Cambodia. I also created both sets of text that accompany the logos.
Mental Flypaper
Mental Flypaper is a blog featuring the "writings and musings" of pen name Dakota Dad. He wanted the logo to represent the process of thought and how ideas can stick to the mind like flypaper. The final product is a single line illustration showing the action of thought as it enters and consumes your brain.
Shamrock Show Stables
Shamrock Show Stables is a full service farm and stable based in Reddick, FL. At Shamrock, they pride themselves in their holistic approach to training and care. To represent this idea of totality, I created the logo based on the infinity symbol. I made a stylized infinity sign that I fashioned into an S. The S was used in two ways: to create the shamrock, giving the illusion of two intersecting infinity signs and as the three capital S's in the stables name. We decided to use an Irish Celtic text to round out the design, giving homage to the shamrocks' symbolic place of origin and giving the logo an overall holistic feel.
Personal Logo
My personal logo is a direct reflection of my style and personality. I chose to do a monogram because I find the letters in my name typographically interesting and I have an affinity for the Cooper Black typeface. I fashioned the t and e to create an r between them (middle initial), then adjusted each shape to create a flow and symmetric "outline" between the letters. I love to use a bright color palette in my design, so I gave a nod to graphic art by using Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. My logo is playful, inviting and effortless.
